CHARAMBO LATIN JAZZ
specialty (polka, mariachi, etc)
Charambo Latin Jazz is a dynamic, highly danceable subgenre that blends the rhythmic roots of Caribbean music with the improvisational, harmonic sophistication of American jazz. The name itself is a portmanteau coined in the 1980s by Milwaukee-based musicians, combining the syncopated Charanga rhythm with the driving drum beats of Puerto Rican Bomba.
